In your TOK essay, you will be challenged to demonstrate your ability to reflect deeply upon the nature of knowledge. Using personal experiences and examples from a range of AOKs, you will construct an answer to one of six prescribed questions. This will be work two thirds of your IB TOK grade, and will be your single most important assignment in this class.

A basic structure
There are few limits to the actual structure of the TOK essay. For example, you can be successful writing it as a dialogue or fairy tale, as long as you deeply analyze the knowledge claims and counterclaims inherent to your chosen prompt, in a variety of AOKs. Of course, most people choose to stick to a more traditional structure. While this is by no means required, find below a document that may help you organize your essay.
